The exhibit features a wide range and variety of expressive art that reflects the artists’ personal journeys of mental health recovery.
Founded in 1984, Laurel House is a nonprofit organization in Stamford that provides resources and opportunities for people living with mental illness to lead fulfilling and productive lives in the communities where they live, work and go to school.
Laurel House serves Stamford, New Canaan, Darien, Greenwich, Norwalk, Weston, Westport and Wilton.
“It’s a wonderful expression of people’s feelings,” said inn resident Jane Corcoran. “It’s amazing what they’ve done considering their challenges,” added Inn resident Helen Tomaselli.
Waveny is a not-for-profit organization that offers independent living at The Inn, assisted living for people with Alzheimer’s and memory loss at The Village, and skilled nursing at Waveny Care Center. It also includes Waveny Home Healthcare, Waveny at Home, the Brown Geriatric Evaluation Clinic, Geriatric Care Management an Adult Day
