NEW CANAAN, Conn. I am writing this letter to demonstrate my enthusiastic support for Paul Giusti for first selectman. I have known Paul and his family for many, many years, so I can attest to his character as a husband and father. I have also interacted with him as a parent while I coached a youth football team, and I have also seen the qualities of good sportsmanship that he has exhibited in competitive situations. Paul himself is well respected as a youth baseball coach and has been a positive role model for the boys on his teams.
Sports bring out the best or worst in people. We all know that Paul has the business, academic and political background to lead New Canaan in these challenging economic times. Those qualities combined with his sense of compassionate competitiveness makes him the right man for the job of first selectman.
