The maze is made up of 100 Buxus sempervirens in the shape of a Greek key and was created by Elise Landscapes & Nursery, a news release said. Mark Hicks, president and CEO of Elise, came up with the idea for the maze to support the garden tour and add to the nature center.
“The maze may confuse adults but we know children will have fun navigating the paths and seeing nature in a new, yet time-honored way,” Hicks said in the release. Elise has been of the nature center and garden tour in the past.
“Our goal was for Elise and the Nature Center to provide another interesting garden element for guests of the Secret Garden Tour to enjoy not only this year, but for the community to enjoy in years to come,” Boardie Kurz, director of Marketing and Development at the Nature Center, said in the release.
The Secret Garden Tour will take place June 7. Tickets are available online for $75 for the tour and lunch or $50 for just the tour. Just the tour tickets will be $60 for those who arrive the day of the event.
