NEW CANAAN, Conn. Get ready to eat, New Canaan. The New Canaan Chamber of Commerce will kick off the towns second restaurant week August 24. The fun begins at a Taste of the Town stroll on August 23, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with free tastes and samples all over town. Bring a non-perishable food donation as your ticket to the party. Food collected will be donated to the New Canaan Food Pantry.
Restaruant week begins the following day. And with 13 restaurants participating and prix fixe menus to fit just about any budget, the delcious deals just keep coming. Participating restaurants include: Bistro Bonne Nuit, Boulevard 18 Bistro & Wine Bar, Carpe Diem, Cava Wine Bar & Restaurant, Gates Restaurant, elm, New Canaan Diner, Plum Tree Restaurant, Rosie, Sole Ristorante, Thali Regional Cuisine of India New Canaan, The Tuscan Osteria-Mercato and Silvermine Market. Lunches will be offered at $10.12 or $15.12 and dinners at $20.12 or $29.12. New Canaan Restaurant will run through August 30.
