Connick has been a frequent guest on the long-running Fox singing competition song and is now reportedly the top choice to join returning judges Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban, the article says.

Producer and songwriter Dr. Luke, who brought fame to acts such as Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson and Kesha, recently withdrew his name from consideration.
