Monday, Aug. 20

Summer Movie Mondays at New Canaan Library: 4 p.m. Join the library for a screening of Munich in the library’s Plaut Room. New Canaan Library, 151 Main St.

Author Benjamin Busch at New Canaan Library: 7:30 p.m.  Busch, a decorated Marine Corps officer who saw two tours of duty in Iran, is also an accomplished writer, photographer and actor, appearing on the HBO series The Wire. Now he adds author to his resume with the recent publication of his riveting memoir, Dust to Dust. Busch will speak about his book and his life when he visits the Library. The event is co-sponsored by Elm Street Books and will take place in the Adrian Lamb Room. New Canaan Library, 151 Main St.

New Canaan Inland Wetlands Commission: 7:30 p.m. The Inland Wetlands Commission will have its regular meeting. New Canaan Town Hall, 77 Main St.

Tuesday, Aug. 21

New Canaan Board of Selectmen: 9 a.m. The board of selectmen will have its regular meeting. Among the items to be discussed is approving dollars to move Town Hall departments prior to renovation. New Canaan Town Hall, 77 Main St.

Wednesday, Aug. 22

Summer Movie Special at Wilton Library: 4 p.m. Visit the library for a special viewing of The Hunger Games. New Canaan Library, 151 Main St.

Thursday, Aug. 23

Wii Play at New Canaan Library: 3 p.m. Join the library staff in the children's room for an afternoon of drop-in Wii gaming. New Canaan Library, 151 Main St.

Friday, Aug. 24

“I’m Starting Kindergarten” at New Canaan Library: 11 a.m. Children entering Kindergarten are invited to this special story time just for them.  There will be stories, songs, a film and a special craft. To register, call (203)-594-5002. New Canaan Library, 151 Main St.

Full Tilt exhibit at Silvermine Arts Center: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Bob Gregson’s "Full Tilt," begs the question of being off-kilter or askew. Silvermine Art Gallery, 1037 Silvermine Road.
