Monday, Aug. 13

Summer Movie Mondays at New Canaan Library: 4 p.m. Join the library for a screening of "Miracle" in the library’s Plaut Room. New Canaan Library, 151 Main St.

Tuesday, Aug. 14

New Canaan Board of Finance meeting: 7:30 p.m. The Board of Finance will have its regular meeting. New Canaan Town Hall, 77 Main St.

New Canaan Fire Commission meeting: 7:30 p.m. The Fire Commission will have its regular meeting. New Canaan Fire Department, 60 Main St.

Wednesday, Aug. 15

Heather Gaudio Fine Art presents Black + White: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Last day of an exhibition featuring works by 14 international artists. The exhibit offers paintings, photographs, works on paper and sculpture, all in black and white. Heather Gaudio Fine Art, 21 South Ave.

Thursday, Aug. 16

Grand Finale of New Canaan Library Summer Reading Club: 3:30 p.m. All reading club fans are invited to join the library for the grand finale program in the Lamb Room.  Tom Sieling, singer, guitarist and harmonica player, presents "Howl at the Moon with a Wild Thing Tune." Kids of all ages and their parents invited. New Canaan Library, 151 Main St.

Friday, Aug. 17

Full Tilt exhibit at Silvermine Arts Center: 1 to 5 p.m. Bob Gregson’s "Full Tilt" begs the question of being off-kilter or askew. The walls of the Vassos Gallery are filled with plywood constructions, all or parts of which are tilted, which visually energizes the space. The floor space is filled with maquettes for sculptures with panels that lean to the side. Silvermine Art Gallery, 1037 Silvermine Road.
