Saturday, Sept. 28

California Art Experts Present Lecture on Early Silvermine Artist: 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Prominent West Coast academic and author Bram Dijkstra will lecture on Charles Reiffel, an early Silvermine artist whose paintings depict a natural world in the Post-Impressionist style. $15 per person. Exhibition: New Works by Artist E.V. Day at The Glass House: 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. New site-specific works by New York artist E.V. Day will be on view in Da Monsta gallery at the Glass House. Study Skills Workshop: 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The study skills workshop is for all area students in grades 8 through 12. Exhibits at Silvermine Challenge the Boundaries of Perception: 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The opening set of exhibits will challenge the boundaries of perception. There will be a group exhibition which questions assumptions of what a book can be to; Amy Bilden’s tactile domestic inspired sculptures; and the symbolically rich mixed media nature-based work of Christine Aaron.
