New Canaan's Glass House Readings Feature Philip Johnson Experts

NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- Two experts on architecture and Philip Johnson will be part of New Canaan's Glass House Readings event on Oct. 27 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Noted architect, photographer, lecturer, historian and critic of architecture and urbanism, Phyllis Lambert will read from her recently published "Building Seagram," a cultural history of architecture, art, urban regulations and real estate, as well as conservation and stewardship in New York City from 1950 to 2000. Lambert was the director of planning for the Seagram Building in Midtown Manhattan from 1954 to1958 and worked directly with Johnson.

Also at the event will be Mark Lamster, who is the architecture critic of the Dallas Morning News and associate professor in the architecture school at the University of Texas at Arlington. Lamster is currently working on a biography of Johnson.
