Applying color to make a design is obvious, but what happens when you take it away instead? During this class, you will invert the usual patterns with this project, which uses bleach pens to leach color from dark napkins to create a broad range of designs.
This project is inspired by the bleach pen work in "Make Your Mark" by Lark Books.
Handmade Crafternoon will be monthly every first Saturday, where you will learn anything from letterpress printing, traditional crafts and the new DIY, vintage-inspired design and all things handmade.
Information on unique items from the library's collections will be shared to create beautiful, funky projects for the curious crafter.
These projects are designed for adults and teens ages 12 and up.
The bleach pen design class will take place on Saturday, March 5, at 2 p.m. in the New Canaan Library.
All materials will be provided. This is a drop-in event -- no registration required!
