Previews the Super Bowl

NEW CANAAN, Conn. — Football fans can get ready for Super Bowl XLVI when the  New Canaan Library kicks off a program featuring a pair of NBC Sports executives.

Producer Fred Gaudelli and director Drew Esocoff will offer a behind-the-scenes look at America's biggest sporting event Jan. 23 at 6:30 p.m. at the second annual Under the Helmet forum in the library’s Lamb Room.

The evening will include personal predictions, player ratings and an analysis of the year-long lead-up to the big day. In addition, there will be a super hot dog stand with  every imaginable weiner topping.

In his sixth year as producer of NBC’s Sunday Night Football, Gaudelli will produce the network’s broadcast of Super Bowl XLVI, which takes place Jan. 29 in Indianapolis. Gaudelli previously worked on ABC’s Monday Night Football and produced three other Super Bowl broadcasts.

Esocoff, in his sixth season as director of Sunday Night Football, will direct this year’s Super Bowl broadcast. He directed four other Super Bowls, ABC’s Monday Night Football and ABC's coverage of the NBA, including the NBA Finals.
