New Canaan High Theatre Department Raises Voices In Song For Fundraiser

NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- The New Canaan High School Theatre Department is hosting a Fundraising Gala featuring music from the "Magic To Do" songbook of Academy Award and Grammy Award winner Stephen Schwartz.

It will be an entertaining evening filled with music and dance performed by New Canaan High drama students, along with students and alum from The Studio of Performing Arts, New Canaan Dance Academy, New England Academy of Dance, and Saxe Middle School. Some of the numbers performed will be songs from “Pippin,” “Wicked,” “Enchanted” and “Godspell.”

All proceeds from this special performance will support an upgrade to the sound system for the New Canaan High School Auditorium. The evening of song and dance will be on Saturday, Jan. 9 at 7 p.m. at the New Canaan High School Auditorium.

Tickets can be purchased in advance of the event at www.newcanaanhighschooltheatre.com for $25 plus a $2 handling fee or for $30 at the door.
