“It is a joy to stage and present audiences with the original Broadway version,” Melody Meitrott Libonati, the show's director and an actress in the original “Grease” company on Broadway, said in a news release from the theater, “Audiences literally leave the theater dancing (some with walkers!).”
The cast, which features actors from New York, Connecticut, Boston, New Jersey, and Chicago, includes Christian Libonati and Sharon Malane who star as Danny and Sandy, respectively, and are originally from New Canaan, the release said.
The theater does warn that there is mild adult language and content, and may not be considered for children under 13.
