The goal of the show is to educate, empower and uplift at-risk and marginalized women and orphans to live healthier, happier and more productive lives.
In 2010, the show launched the Ashe Collection, which consists of Maasai jewelry, accessories, clothing, handbags and household goods handmade by artisans across East Africa.
Ashe’s purpose has been to help create jobs and to raise awareness and funds for its partner programs as well as promote peace and prosperity for the world’s poor through advancement of health, education and microfinance programs in Tanzania.
Ashe means “thank you” in the language of the Maasai.
