“I am very excited to lead our talented dietary staff, with whom I’ve come to work very smoothly over the past few years,” Urbano said in a release. “Waveny is, and has always been, a benchmark of quality in health care, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to enhance the dining services of an already-stellar organization.”
In his position he will oversee and manage dining options Waveny’s Farm Road campus and at the New Canaan Inn, the release said. His primary focuses will be to maintain and enhance Waveny’s system of “point of service” or “restaurant-style” dining, the release said.
Urbano joined Waveny in 2011 as chef manager of the New Canaan Inn and promoted to executive chef at the main campus in 2012, the release said.
“His proven record of success, mutual respect among his peers and staff, and commitment to Waveny made him the clear choice for this position.
