New Canaan's Gates Restaurant Serving Up Last Meals Under Old Owners

NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- Gates, a landmark dining establishment in New Canaan, will be closing on Sunday, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Gates, which has been serving up meals since 1979, has been sold to a private restaurant group in town, owner Billy Auer told the Advocate.

The new owner plans to keep the restaurant's name and reopen it with a new menu after remodeling the interior, the Advocate said.
