New Canaan Chamber Hosts First 'Gentlemen's Shopping Night'

NEW CANAAN, Conn. – Free shaves and haircuts will be among the highlights of the first “Gentleman’s Shopping Night” on Thursday, Dec. 11, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. in downtown New Canaan.

This event, organized by the New Canaan Chamber of Commerce, is held to celebrate men shopping or being shopped for.

“The idea is that local shops know their customers on a personal level and can help you select the perfect gift,” said Tucker Murphy, executive director of the New Canaan Chamber.

Residents will also be able to enjoy beer, scotch, pretzels and more as they shop in town.

Participating stores include Candy Scoop, Design Solutions, Dorothy Mann, Elm St. Books, G. Albert, Goldenberry, J. McLaughlin, Jack Spade, Jack Wills, New Balance, New Canaan Music, Ralph Lauren, Ralph Lauren Children’s, Salon Kiklo, Severed Ties, Soleil Toile, Spectacles, Taylors Luggage, Vineyard Vines and Wave.

Children can also be dropped off at the Candy Scoop for a Graham Cracker and Gingerbread House workshop. To make reservations, call 203-920-1330.
