"I was really drawn to the idea of working in my community," said Gruseke, Bankwell's CEO. "I looked at this as an opportunity to touch something, and at the end of the day go home having just done business with my neighbors."
Since Gruseke's arrival nearly two years ago, the publicly traded bank has flourished under his leadership.
