“As a member of the board, I look forward to using my business banking and commercial/residential loan skills to support (Connecticut Housing Finance Authority’s) important effort to provide affordable housing alternatives for residents of Connecticut,” DeWyngaert said in a news release from the bank.
The Connecticut Housing Finance Authority, created in 1969, has helped close to 120,000 individuals and families in the state become home owners through its low-interest single family mortgage programs, the release said. It also has helped finance the building of more than 32,000 affordable, quality rental units, the release said.
A career banker, DeWyngaert has more than 30 years of experience, including the past eight with the Bank of New Canaan. She has experience both as a commercial/middle market and commercial real estate lender, working with JP Morgan and Webster Bank in Fairfield County before going to New Canaan, the release said.
