CT Man Threatens To Kill GOP Presidential Hopeful Ron DeSantis, Police Say
A Fairfield County man was arrested for allegedly threatening to kill Florida Gov. and GOP Presidential hopeful Ron DeSantis with a gun. Brendan Hughes, age 22, of Shelton, was arrested on Friday, July 14, said Lt. Robert Kozlowsky of the Shelton Police. Hughes was charged with threatening and held on a $1,000 bond, Kozlowsky said. The arrest stems from a call Shelton Police received from Florida law enforcement regarding an online threat made to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis on Twitter. Former President Donald Trump is losing his grip on the Republican party, according to a new Suffolk University/USA Today poll. The poll, released Tuesday, Dec. 13, found that among registered voters nearly two-thirds (65 percent) of Republicans and independents who identified as either conservative or very conservative wanted Florida Gov.
