Trader Joe's is recalling Infinite Herbs-brand organic basil that was sold across the country in 2.5-ounce clamshell packaging due to concerns of Salmonella contamination. Ledyard Homicide Victim ID'd 50 Years After Crime
A homicide victim who has remained unidentified for more than 50 years has been identified using sophisticated forensic genetic genealogy tracing. On Thursday, May 30, 1974, the skeletal remains of two people were found in a shallow grave in New London County in Ledyard after Connecticut State Police obtained the location from a witness of a double homicide that occurred on Thursday, Dec. 31, 1970. Hundreds of thousands of Honda SUVs are being recalled due to concerns that road salt could cause the frame of the vehicle to rust and unintentionally detach parts of the rear suspension. 30-Year-Old CT Resident Remembered As Dedicated Coach, Loving Husband
A late former Connecticut resident is being remembered as a dedicated basketball coach and a loving husband. Michael Freilich died in his sleep from natural causes on Friday, Dec. 17, according to his obituary. He was 30 years old. Born in Kentucky in 1991, Freilich was raised in West Hartford and was well-known on the basketball courts around town. His passion for the sport was obvious, and he was a force to be reckoned with at Morley and the JCC, those who knew him said.
