CT Man Killed In Fiery Single-Vehicle Crash, Police Say A Fairfield County man died in a fiery single-vehicle car crash. It happened in Hartford County around 2:13 a.m., Sunday, May 15 in Manchester. Diyar Muhammad Hamad, age 24, of Shelton, was killed after Manchester Police responded to the area of Center and Fairview streets for a report of a crash with injuries, said Lt. Former High-Ranking CT Fire Official Charged With Violent Sexual Assault A former high-ranking Fairfield County fire official has been arrested for an alleged violent sexual assault. Harold Clarke Sr., age 57, a veteran of more than 30 years at the Bridgeport fire department, was arrested on Thursday, May 5 in connection with a February event in which he allegedly beat and raped a woman, reportedly along with several other men. Firefighters Rescue Resident From Smoke-Filled CT Apartment Firefighters rescued a resident who was found unconscious in a smoke-filled apartment in Connecticut. The incident happened in Hartford County at about 5 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29, at an apartment building on Elm Commons Drive in Rocky Hill.
