CT Man Nabbed For Assaulting Woman In Car, Police Say A 35-year-old Connecticut man is behind bars for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend in a car. The incident occurred in Westport around 1:20 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 5 on the Sherwood Island Connector. According to Lt. Eric Woods, of the Westport Police, New Haven County resident Antonio Trusty, of Waterbury, was arrested after receiving information from his girlfriend that she was assaulted in a car and prevented from calling 911. CT Door Dash Driver Shot During Attempted Carjacking, Police Say A Connecticut Door Dash driver is recovering after being shot during an alleged carjacking after delivering food. The incident took place in New Haven around 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 16 in the area of Ferry Street and Pierpont Street.  According to Capt. Rose Dell of the New Haven Police, officers responded to Yale New Haven Hospital on the report of a gunshot victim.  The victim, who had been transported from West Haven, told West Haven officers that he had been shot while in his vehicle in New Haven.
