Bridgeport Police announced that on Monday, June 12, Andre Johnson was arrested for the murder of 25-year-old Aaron Hunt. Johnson, aged 28, was wanted in relation to the incident since May 2023, when investigators announced him as the primary suspect for the April 2023 murder of Hunt. Man Found Dead 12 Hours After Police Respond To Report Of Shots Fired In CT, Police Say A Bridgeport man was found shot dead almost 12 hours after police responded to the area on a notification of shots fired. The incident took place in Bridgeport around 8:15 p.m., Wednesday, April 26 in the 100 block of Denver Avenue. According to Captain Kevin Gilleran of the Bridgeport Police, officers responded to the area on Wednesday after receiving a ShotSpotter notification. Once on the scene, officers collected several items of evidence, conducted interviews, canvassed the area, and documented their investigation, Gilleran said.
