Woman Fatally Shot Near CT Amtrak Station An investigation is underway after a woman was shot and killed during a dispute near a Connecticut Amtrak station. The incident occurred in New Haven County around 10:10 p.m. on Monday, July 22, in the area of 161 State St., in Meriden. According to Lt. Darrin McKay of the Meriden Police, officers responded to a report of shots fired and quickly located an unidentified woman who had been shot. Olajuwon Raheem Clarke, age 29, homeless, was taken into custody in Brooklyn for the Monday, Nov. 20 stabbing of a Stamford man on a CT Transit bus, said Capt. Tom Scanlon of the Stamford Police. Witnesses reported that the CT Transit bus stopped at the bus stop and a man got on the bus and engaged the victim in an argument. Woman Struck, Killed By CT Transit Bus A Connecticut woman was hit and killed by a bus. The crash took place around 6:45 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 21, in New Haven. New Haven Police responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian being struck by a CT Transit bus, on Chapel Street, between Orange Street and Church Street. According to Officer Scott Shumway, responding officers located the victim, a 40-year-old New Haven woman, who was later pronounced dead on the scene.
