CT Officer Seriously Injured, Hospitalized After Punch To Face A Connecticut police officer who responded to a report of a fight was seriously injured and hospitalized after being punched in the face. The incident occurred in New Haven around midnight on Saturday, June 22, in the Fair Haven area of town. According to Officer Christian Bruckhart of the New Haven Police, officers responded to an address in the Fair Haven section of the city on the report of a fight in progress.  When they arrived, officers located a man, later identified as Wesley Gill, attacking a woman, Bruckhart said. CT Police Officer Seriously Injured By ATV Driver, Police Say A Connecticut police officer's leg was seriously injured after an ATV allegedly hit him. The incident occurred in New Haven on Sunday, April 7, in the area of Ferry and Peck Streets. According to Officer Christian Bruckhart of the New Haven Police, the officer was struck and his leg seriously injured while attempting to stop a group of ATVs illegally riding through the city.
