CT Man Rescued After Crashing Pick Up Truck In Pond First responders rescued a Fairfield County driver after his pickup truck was found partially submerged in a pond following a crash with another vehicle. The incident took place at 7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 25 in Easton. Officers responded to Banks Road for a report of a vehicle crash, according to Chief of Easton Police Richard Doyle. Upon the officers' arrival, they found a partially submerged truck in a pond, about 30 feet from shore with the driver still inside, Doyle said. ID Released For Woman Found Dead In Submerged Vehicle At Waterbury Park Police have identified a woman who was found dead inside a vehicle submerged underwater at a Connecticut park. The New Haven County woman, ID'd as 22-year-old Yamiles Vazquez was discovered around 3:50 a.m., Sunday, Aug. 15, at Lakewood Park in Waterbury, authorities said. Vazquez was found after officers received a report from a utility worker who was working on a downed line, of a submerged vehicle in the area of Lakewood Road at Massachusetts Avenue at the park,  said Waterbury PD Sgt. Two Rescued After Truck Falls Into Water In CT During Nor'easter Two people were rescued in dramatic fashion from a sinking pickup truck in Fairfield County during the peak of the Nor'easter. It happened around 2:10 p.m., Monday, Feb. 1, in Stamford in the water off of Cummings Park in Stamford,  First-arriving fire personnel found a 4-door pickup truck partially submerged and floating approximately 40 feet off of the shore of Long Island Sound, said Stamford Fire Deputy Fire Chief Matthew Palmer.
