Armed, Dangerous Man Wanted For Broad Daylight Shooting In Bridgeport Police in Bridgeport are asking for the public's assistance in locating a man wanted in connection with a violent assault.  Tomas Elias LaPorte, age 48, of Bridgeport is wanted for the Wednesday, March 8 broad daylight attack of a man at the intersection of State Street & Iranistan Avenue, said Capt. Kevin Gilleran, of the Bridgeport Police. Police officers responded to the area and located a 52-year-old Bridgeport man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the leg, Gilleran said. The incident took place in Bridgeport, around 11:30 a.m., Monday, Oct. 24, in the 1200 block of State Street. Bridgeport Police responded to the area after the city's 911 Center received a call reporting two people arguing with one person with a firearm, said Scott Appleby, director of Emergency Management for Bridgeport. Fairfield County Teen Fighting For Life After Being Shot At School Bus Stop, Police Say A Fairfield County teen is fighting for his life after being shot while waiting at a school bus stop for his young cousin. The incident took place around 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov 3 at the intersection of Trumbull and Reservoir avenues in Bridgeport. According to Detective Thomas Harper of the Bridgeport Police, the 19-year-old was waiting for his 9-year-old cousin at the bus stop on Trumbull Avenue when a vehicle drove up and someone inside shot him, causing life-threatening injuries.
