New Restaurant/Club Planned At Former Site Of Infamous West Haven Bar
A controversial spot for a nightclub may go live once again. An application for a restaurant liquor permit has been filed for 93 Campbell Ave., in West Haven. This address most recently hosted HerSoul, a Colombian cafe that opened in 2018. But before that, it was the infamous Peroles. Peroles restaurant slowly turned into more of a bar and nightclub over the years. Some neighbors blamed the hotspot for an increase in violence and alcohol-related incidents in the area. A substitute teacher accused of fatally shooting a teenager and injuring a boy in her home has been having “psychotic episodes” that require on-demand medical attention, her attorney said on Monday, Nov. 16. Accused of running his restaurant like a bar, the Board of Health has temporarily closed an eatery due to the COVID-19 guideline violation. On Thursday, Oct. 29, local authorities shut down the Blue Horse in West Haven in the middle of service with patrons in the restaurant, said owner Bob Severino, according to the New Haven Register.
