An investigation is underway after a person was fatally struck by a Metro-North train in the region. A pedestrian on the tracks in Fairfield County at the Greenwich Metro-North station was struck by the westbound train at about 10:15 a.m. on Sunday, April 10, according to MTA spokesperson Aaron Donovan. Person Struck By Metro-North Train Between New Haven, Milford
A man standing on the train tracks was fatally struck by a Metro-North train in Connecticut. According to Dave Steckel, with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, the "unauthorized man" was on the tracks around 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 20, just west of Milford in New Haven County when he was struck and killed by the train. 45-Year-Old Dead After Jumping From Metro-North Train In Connecticut
This story has been updated. Train service has resumed after a 45-year-old man jumped from a Metro-North train. The incident took place at approximately 11:27 a.m., Thursday, May 6, as the westbound train was traveling in Fairfield County between Westport and East Norwalk, said Aaron Donovan, spokesman for the MTA. Metro-North Service Suspended As Snow Becomes Heavier During Nor'easter
Metro-North trains will be temporarily suspending service as the rate of snowfall during the Nor'easter has become heavier, creating potential travel hazards. MTA officials announced that with major snow accumulation and high winds creating increasingly hazardous travel conditions, Metro-North will shut down service with the last trains departing Grand Central Terminal at approximately 3 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 1. Person Struck, Killed By Metro-North New Haven Line Train
A person was killed after being struck by a Metro-North train overnight. The incident happened in Westchester County shortly before 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, just south of the Port Chester station, near the Kohl's Shopping Center. After trains were initially held at the scene, New Haven Line customers experienced delays of 45 to 50 minutes, according to Metro-North.
