Sweet Escape: Ice Cream Truck Stolen In West Haven With $30K Of Treats Inside A 35-year-old man with a huge sweet tooth was arrested in Connecticut after he hopped in an ice cream truck and made a run for it – stealing $30,000 worth of the sweet stuff along with the truck. The New Haven County incident occurred on Monday, Jan. 29 in the city of West Haven, according to local police. Just before 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 25 in Stamford, officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle on the west side of the city.  The vehicle, which was left running, was stolen from Richmond Hill Avenue.
