New Haven Officer Injured By ATV, Police Say A Connecticut police officer's leg was seriously injured after an ATV allegedly hit him. The incident occurred in New Haven on Sunday, April 7, in the area of Ferry and Peck Streets. According to Officer Christian Bruckhart of the New Haven Police, the officer was struck and his leg seriously injured while attempting to stop a group of ATVs illegally riding through the city. The incident occurred in Danbury around 8:15 p.m., Wednesday, April 3 in the area of 9A Clapboard Ridge Road. When officers arrived, they found the man in the roadway with serious injuries, said Erin Henry, spokesperson for the Danbury Police Department. The victim has not yet been identified by police. Drunk Naugatuck Motorist Injures Trooper, State Police Say An area man was arrested after he was spotted allegedly swerving all over I-84, nearly hitting several vehicles while drunk and then injured a Connecticut state trooper. Daniel G. Rapuano, 36, of Naugatuck, was arrested on Thursday, Nov. 19, after state police responded to numerous 911 calls reporting an erratic driver on I-84, who was swerving across all three lanes and had nearly struck numerous vehicles, said the Connecticut State Police.
