Police Officer In CT Charged With Strangulation, Assault A police officer in Fairfield County is facing strangulation and assault charges following what authorities described as a “family violence incident.” Just after 3 p.m. Friday, April 15, police say they received a call about an assault that happened at a home in Norwalk, indicating the offender had left the premises.  The victim was transported to Norwalk Hospital for the treatment of minor injuries, Norwalk Police said. Man Follows Woman From NYC To Connecticut, Attacks Her, Police Say A Fairfield County man has been nabbed for allegedly following a woman home from New York City and assaulting her. The incident ended on Wednesday, June 9, in Norwalk. An off-duty Norwalk Police Officer observed Andrew Delarosa, age 20, of Stamford, push the victim on the sidewalk, Norwalk PD Lt. Terrence Blake said.
