Man Wearing Ski Mask Approaches 2 Girls In CT, Police Say Police in Fairfield County are investigating after two middle-school-aged girls reported a man in a white BMW-like car approached them wearing a ski mask. The incident took place in the town of Fairfield around 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 1 on Collingwood Avenue. According to Fairfield Police Lt. Michael Paris, the department received a 911 call from a resident reporting that the two girls had run to his home "very upset." CT Man Charged With Hate Crime, Making Threats A Fairfield County man has been charged with a hate crime after he allegedly accosted a masonry worker and yelled racist language at the man. Joseph Soracco, age 61, of Fairfield, was arrested on around 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 16. Fairfield Police Chief Robert Kalamaras said the department received a complaint of a man threatening and using racial slurs, over a masonry worker's truck being parked in such a way that it blocked a section of sidewalk adjacent to a lot where construction work is being done.
