'Do The 9 P.M. Routine,' Police Warn After 2 Vehicles Stolen Overnight In CT Town
Police are reminding residents to lock their vehicles after two vehicles were stolen overnight in Fairfield County. The two vehicles were stolen overnight on May 15 or May 16 in the Lower Easton area, said the Easton Police Department. One vehicle was located due to a GPS device, police said. Officers said residents should do the "9 P.M." routine where they lock all vehicles and doors to their homes at 9 p.m. each night. In addition, if you have a GPS location device in your vehicle, make sure it is active.

Man Critical After Falling Off Disabled Scooter In CT
A man was seriously injured after falling off a disabled scooter in Fairfield County. The crash took place around 6:50 p.m., Tuesday, April 18 in Easton on Route 58 between Valley Road and Country Club Lane. According to Easton Police Chief Richard Doyle, the man's disabled scooter was being towed by another vehicle when he fell off and was seriously injured. A Fairfield County man received serious burns and suffered smoke inhalation attempting to put out a fire at his home. The fire took place in Easton around 7:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 24 at the home located at 15 hayes St. Easton firefighters responded to the home after receiving a 911 call from the resident stating the house was on fire and that people were still in the home, said Capt. CT Man Sentenced For Recording Repeated Sexual Abuse Of A Child
A 42-year-old Fairfield County man has been sentenced to decades in prison for producing photographs and videos documenting his sexual abuse of a child. Robert McGuire, of Easton, was sentenced on Tuesday, Feb. 1, to 30 years in prison followed by a lifetime term of supervised release, according to Leonard Boyle, United States attorney for the District of Connecticut. McGuire pleaded guilty to one count of production of child pornography on June 8, Boyle said. First responders rescued a Fairfield County driver after his pickup truck was found partially submerged in a pond following a crash with another vehicle. The incident took place at 7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 25 in Easton. Officers responded to Banks Road for a report of a vehicle crash, according to Chief of Easton Police Richard Doyle. A Fairfield County man faces up to 30 years in prison after being busted on child pornography charges. Easton resident Robert McGuire, 41, has been arrested and charged by a federal grand jury with the production of child pornography on multiple occasions over the course of more than two years.
