Wrong-Way Crash: Driver Charged After Striking Patrol Cruiser In New Haven, Police Say A Connecticut man is behind bars after allegedly driving in the wrong direction on a major highway and slamming into a state police cruiser and then fleeing the scene. The incident took place in New Haven on Friday, March 31 on I-91 around 8:30 p.m. between Exits 1 and 2. According to state police, troopers attempted to stop a wrong-way driver that was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes on I-91 between exits 2-1.
