Man Charged With Robbing Connecticut Gas Station, Police Say A 31-year-old man is facing charges in a robbery at a gas station in Connecticut.  Police in Litchfield County were notified of a panic alarm at the Citgo Gas Station on Route 7 in Sharon at about 1 p.m. on Monday, June 6, according to Connecticut State Police. Troopers discovered that the gas station had been robbed, and a suspect wearing all black and fled the scene in a dark blue Jeep Grand Cherokee, authorities reported.  A trooper saw a vehicle matching the description traveling west on Route 4 in Goshen, with a driver who matched the suspect's description, police said. One Suspect Charged After Attempted Litchfield County Bank Robbery A suspect has been apprehended in connection to an attempted armed robbery at a bank in Connecticut and police say they're searching for a second suspect. The incident happened Friday afternoon, Aug. 6 in Litchfield County at the National Iron Bank in Cornwall, located on Furnace Brook Road. One suspect was taken into custody without incident, state police said. The man, Jay William Puzinski, age 48, of Winsted, in Litchfield County, was charged with conspiracy and criminal attempt at robbery. The most recent information from the state’s COVID-19 Tracker says that there are only 19 communities in the state - out of 179 - that have NOT been designated “red” to show where the threat of COVID-19 transmission is highest.
