58-Year-Old Killed In Chain-Reaction I-84 Crash A 58-year-old Connecticut man was killed in a seven-vehicle chain-reaction crash on I-84. The crash took place in Hartford County around 5 a.m., on I-84 in West Hartford near Exit 44. According to the Connecticut State Police, Gary Michael Carter, of Enfield, was killed when his 2017 Volvo TT hit the back of a Connecticut transit bus stopped in traffic in the right center lane of four on I-84. 12 Injured In Crash Near Orange Intersection A dozen people were hospitalized in Connecticut after a transit bus was rear-ended by a pickup truck. The crash took place in New Haven County around 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 8, in the town of Orange on Route 34 near the intersection with Racebrook Road. An initial investigation revealed that a Connecticut Transit bus was stopped for a red light when it was hit from the rear by a pickup truck, said the Orange Police Department.
