Body Of 20-Year-Old Man Found In CT, Police Call Death 'Suspicious' Police are calling the death "suspicious" after a 20-year-old Hispanic man was found in a grassy area in Fairfield County. The man was found in Stamford around 2 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 18 near the pathway that connects Woodland Avenue and Walter Wheeler Drive. Capt. Tom Scanlon of the Stamford Police said the man was found after the department received a 911 reporting a man lying on his back in the area. Teen Nabbed For Shooting Man Walking On CT Street, Police Say A 14-year-old Fairfield County boy has been arrested for allegedly shooting a man in the leg as he was walking down a city street. The incident took place in Stamford around 9:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 19 on Woodland Avenue. According to Lt. Tom Scanlon of the Stamford Police, a 32-year-old Stamford man was shot in the leg as he was walking on Woodland Avenue. The victim’s injury was non-life threatening but would require surgery, Scanlon said.
