17-Year-Old CT High School Junior Shot, Killed Police are investigating after a 17-year-old was shot and killed on a Connecticut street. The teenage boy was shot around 9 p.m., Sunday, March 20 in New Haven, on Orchard Place, between Orchard Street and Charles Street. Responding officers located the victim, who had been struck by gunfire, said Officer Scott Shumway, of the New Haven Police Department. American Medical Response transported the victim to Yale New Haven Hospital where he died from his injuries, Shumway said. Teen Shot Near CT High School A 16-year-old student was shot near a Connecticut high school, causing the school to go on lockdown. The incident took place in Hartford County around 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 8, near New Britain High School. According to New Britain Police Chief Christopher Chute, the teen was shot by suspects in an early 2000s light blue or light gray Nissan Altima.
