Budget Chief In CT Charged With DUI After Hitting Tree A city official has been charged with allegedly driving under the influence after hitting a tree in Fairfield County. Bridgeport Budget Chief Nestor Nkwo was arrested around 8 p.m., Friday, March 29, after officers responded to a report of a crash on Park Avenue. According to an arrest report prepared by Bridgeport Police Officer Ryan Wilson, when he first interacted with Nkwo, who serves as the director of Bridgeport's Office of Police and Management, he talked and acted "normally." CT Man Charged After 4-Hour Crime Spree Robbing Multiple Women, Sexually Assaulting 1 A Fairfield County man has been charged after allegedly attacking and robbing multiple women over four hours. Cecil Mills, age 35, of Bridgeport, was arrested around 11:30 a.m., on Saturday, Feb. 24 after a vehicle pursuit, crash, and foot chase that ended near the intersection of North Avenue and Madison Avenue. According to Det. Detective Jeffrey Holtz of the Bridgeport Police, the victims all report being followed by what turned out to be a stolen Toyota Camry, before being robbed and assaulted.  Mills was charged with sexually assaulting one of the three women he allegedly robbed.…

30 Rounds Fired, 3 Wounded, 1 Critically, In CT Shooting Three people were wounded, one critically during a shooting in Fairfield County on a busy city street. The incident took place in Bridgeport around 10:50 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 22 in the 1200 block of Park Avenue. Bridgeport Police officers responded to the area after receiving multiple ShotSpotter notifications and reports of numerous people shot, said Capt. Kevin Gilleran of the Bridgeport Police.  When officers arrived, they quickly located two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. The crash took place around 8 p.m., Monday, Dec. 6, when police were patrolling in Bridgeport in the area of Park Avenue and Olive Street when they came upon a multiple vehicle crash with one of the vehicles into a building in the 1300 block of Park Avenue.
