Charges Pending After Victim Dies Following 2-Vehicle CT Crash, Police Say Charges are pending for a Fairfield County man after a man died following a two-vehicle crash. The crash took place in Stratford around 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 18 in the area of South Ave and Spada Boulevard. Upon arrival by police, an investigation determined that a Honda driven by Jamar Blackburn, age 38, of Bridgeport, exited I-95 south and crashed into a Ford driven by Jason Fonseca-Kennedy, age 26, of Waterbury in New Haven County, said Capt. Duo Accused Of Stealing 1,000 Gallons Of Cooking Oil In Old Saybrook Two New York men are facing charges after authorities said they stole more than 1,000 gallons of cooking oil in Connecticut and then led police on a pursuit. The owner of Pizza Palace Restaurant in Middlesex County called police at about 9:40 a.m. on Thursday, June 9, to report that he had interrupted the theft of cooking oil at his restaurant, according to the Old Saybrook Police Department.
