A woman waiting on a train at a Connecticut train station earlier this week said a man she did not know grabbed her from behind, slammed her to the ground, and choked her unconscious without warning or provocation, authorities said. In a scene taken out of a video game, a man tried to repeatedly steal vehicles on I-84 in Hartford until he was stopped by good samaritans who had enough of his antics, police said. The incident happened on Friday, Jan. 20 around 9:45 a.m., when state police received reports of an accident in Hartford on I-84 eastbound in the area of Exit 46. CT Father Charged After 4-Week-Old Twins Hospitalized With Fractures, Police Say
A 19-year-old Connecticut father was charged after police reported that his 4-week-old twins were hospitalized with multiple fractures last month. The East Lyme Police Department said it was contacted by a medical office in Old Saybrook in October about infants with injuries. The twin babies were taken to the emergency room at Yale New Haven Hospital, police said. Detectives responded and discovered that one of the babies had 13 fractures in various stages of healing, and the other baby had eight fractures, authorities said. A 14-year-old from Connecticut is facing charges after police said he fired shots into an occupied vehicle this past spring. Officers responded to a report of shots fired in New Haven County at about 4:30 p.m. on May 27, according to the Hamden Police Department. Police said the incident happened in the area of Woodin Street and Pine Rock Avenue in Hamden. Officers found two vehicles that were involved in a crash at the intersection, authorities said. A 63-year-old Connecticut man was arrested after authorities said he was involved in a shooting and then crashed into multiple vehicles, including a police cruiser, during a pursuit.
