Wrong-Way Driver Causes CT Crash, Multiple Injuries Reported Multiple people were injured when a driver drove in the wrong direction on Route 8 in Fairfield County causing a five-vehicle pileup.  The crash took place in Bridgeport just north of Exit 3 around 6:30 p.m., Sunday, July 9 on Route 8, according to the Connecticut State Police. State Police said four vehicles were traveling on Route 8 South, north of Exit 3 when a 2004 Nissan Murano SL/SE, traveling in the wrong direction, sideswiped a 2006 Volkswagen, which then caused the Nissan to lose control and sideswipe a 2017 Nissan Altima. Hamden Man Killed In 3-Vehicle Crash In Durham A 34-year-old New Haven County man was killed in a three-car crash in Middlesex County after allegedly crossing the double-yellow line and crashing head-on into another vehicle. The crash took place around 4:45 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 12 on Route 17 near Dinatale Driver in Durham.
