After the tragic death of a Connecticut State Police Trooper, the community has rallied together to support his wife and their two young children. Trooper Aaron Pelletier, age 34, was killed on Thursday, May 30, on I-84 in Hartford County. Man Accused Of Threatening To Shoot Employees At CT YMCA
A Connecticut man has been charged with threatening to shoot employees at a YMCA in the region. The arrest took place in New Haven County in Milford on Friday, May 27. Christopher Cofer, age 23, of Milford, was arrested at police responded to The Woodruff Family YMCA at 631 Orange Ave., for a report that an employee had been threatened, said Officer Marilisa Anania, of the Milford Police. CT Woman Accused Of Fleeing Scene Of Separate Crashes
A 46-year-old area woman was nabbed for allegedly fleeing the scene of two crashes. Madeleine Arnheim, of New Canaan, was arrested Thursday, July 2, on a warrant by New Canaan Police for the incidents which took. place on Thursday, Feb. 6, said Lt. Jason Ferraro. According to Ferraro, police were dispatched to a reported vehicle crash in the area of White Oak Shade Road in which a vehicle had crashed into another vehicle and then fled the area. 19: Employee At YMCA Child Care Center In CT Tests Positive
An employee at a YMCA in the area has tested positive for novel coronavirus (COVID-19). The person, who works in the New Canaan YMCA’s child care center, was last in the building on Friday, June 26, officials said, and the employee reported the positive test on Monday, June 29. Participants and teachers in the classroom are not required to self-quarantine, they will be excluded from the program for 14 days and have been advised to self-monitor, which is per OEC guidelines.
