ID Released For Man Found Burning At Park In CT A man who was found burning in a park in Fairfield County has been identified by the medical examiner's office. The incident took place in New Canaan around 8:45 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 10 in the area of Lapham Road near Waveny Park. On Thursday, Aug. 25, the medical examiner's office positively identified the man as Howard Alan Fletcher, age 71, of Norwalk, said Lt. Jason Ferraro, of the New Canaan Police. String Of Thefts From Vehicles Reported At Parks In CT Police are searching for suspects after five vehicles had items stolen at two parks in Fairfield County. The incidents took place in New Canaan beginning around 12:30 p.m., Sunday, July 24 at Irwin and Waveny parks. According to New Canaan Police, the chain of incidents began when a Subaru Forester was reported forcibly entered around 12:30 p.m. at Irwin Park. Search Underway At CT Park In Connection To Jennifer Dulos Case Connecticut State police are searching a Fairfield County park near the area where the SUV of the missing mother of five Jennifer Farber Dulos was discovered more than two years ago. On Monday, Dec. 20, numerous police vehicles are at Waveny Park in New Canaan, where detectives from the Major Crimes and K-9s are "on a standard follow-up investigative effort out of an abundance of caution," the state police said.  A spokesman for the state police said: "Detectives are following up on previous investigative information pertaining to the Jennifer Dulos homicide investigation."  …

Woman Bitten By Coyote While Walking Dog In CT Park, Police Say Police are warning area residents that a woman was bitten by a coyote while walking her dog in a park. The incident took place in Fairfield County around 6:30 a.m., Thursday, June 11, when the animal attacked the woman at Waveny Park in New Canaan, police said. Animal Control officers are advising that people avoid the trails and tall grassy areas of the park.
