CT State Trooper Shoots Knife-Wielding, Evicted Tenant In Windham County: Police An active, "complex" investigation is underway for an officer-involved shooting, officials say.  A Connecticut state trooper assigned to assist in a court-ordered eviction of a tenant, who lived in the small Windham County town of Brooklyn, shot and injured the tenant on Tuesday, May 9 at approximately 9:35 a.m., according to the Connecticut State Police.  Troopers arrived at the residence on Tiffany Street and reported that the tenant refused to comply with the eviction and was wielding a knife.  One of the troopers shot and injured the tenant during the incident.  Th…

Man Dies After Being Hit By Car While Changing Tire In Region A Western Massachusetts man was killed and a child was injured while changing a tire on the side of an area roadway. The incident took place around 6:45 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 29, on Route 2 in Worcester County in Leominster, said the Massachusetts State Police. According to state police, Franklin County resident Daniel Levangie, 44, of Wendell, was changing the tire on his 1997 Ford F350 in the breakdown lane on Route 2.
