Firefighter Hospitalized After Blaze Breaks Out At CT Home A firefighter was hospitalized after battling a blaze at a home in Fairfield County. The Stamford Fire Department reported that 26 personnel initially responded to the fire that broke out at the residence located at 45 Reynolds Avenue on Saturday, Aug. 28. The first-arriving companies from the Woodside Fire Station arrived at the scene at about 10 p.m. The fire was in the deck area and spread to the rear of the home into the attic. CT Home Partially Collapses After Explosion A home partially collapsed after an explosion in Stamford. At 07:20 a.m. Saturday, June 20, the Stamford 9-1-1 Dispatch Center received a call reporting that the house next door to the callers on Woodbine Road had exploded and was on fire.  The caller further reported that two people and multiple pets were in the house attempting to get out, the Stamford Fire Department said.
