Man Killed After Car Crashes Into Tree In Western Mass, Police Say A man died after crashing his car into a tree in Western Massachusetts. The crash took place in Hampden County around 1;20 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 1 in Springfield in the 700 block of Berkshire Avenue. According to Ryan Walsh, a spokesman for the Springfield Police, officers who responded to the area found a single-car crash into a tree. The lone occupant, an adult male, was transported to Baystate Hospital where he died from his injuries, Walsh said. The department's Traffic Unit is investigating.

One Killed In Two-Vehicle Crash In Region A man was killed during a two-vehicle head-on crash in Western Massachusetts. The crash took place in Springfield around 6:45 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 16 on the 200 block of Worcester Street near the Chicopee line.  According to Springfield Police, one car crossed over the center lane and collided with another vehicle.  The adult male driver who crossed over the center lane was transported to Baystate where he died from his injuries, police said.   The other driver remained on the scene and did not immediately need medical attention, police said.  The Springfield…

Police Charge Easton Man In Hit-Run Crash That Killed Woman, 32, In Fairfield Police have charged a local man in connection to a hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of a woman in Fairfield County over the July 4th weekend. Marileidy Morel Araujo, 32, of Matamoras, Pennsylvania, was killed in the crash that happened around 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 4 in the Town of Fairfield in the area of 2000 Redding Road. Araujo was visiting family in Fairfield and was walking her dog at the time of the crash, police said.
