Potentially Historic Storm: Parts Of NY Could See Up To 6 Feet Of Snow From 'Intense' System A potentially historic, extreme storm that will bring intense snowfall and accumulation of 3 to 6 feet to parts of New York over a period of days has prompted Gov. Kathy Hochul to issue a State of Emergency for 11 counties in the state. On Thursday, March 25, House representatives voted 90 to 50 to extend 93 executive orders put in place by Lamont during the COVID-19 pandemic, as the governor reminded lawmakers that Connecticut is still in a state of emergency.
